" A tool dedicated to artistic research ", the Aubervilliers Laboratories are a place of exchange, where different genres come side by side and combine theoretical reflection and artistic practices, analysis, research and production, Since 1993, artists in-residence have brought life to the site with the public, both regular visitors and locals.
In the Villette-Quatre Chemins neighbourhood, on the edge of the 19th arrondissement of Paris, the labs keep the original function of the place alive : previously a site of industrial production (metalworking factory); nowadays a place of cultural production open to all disciplines and to the town.
Three spaces, spread over 900 m2 ; artists who explore new avenues with the public, off the beaten track: projects of varied formats, performances and seminars, exhibitions, publications, screenings, games, concerts, meals etc.
Among the publications, Le Journal des Laboratoires which keeps track of the experiments taking place at the labs.
