The Centre culturel Jean-Houdremont-Maison des jonglages of La Courneuve comprises an auditorium, two dance studios, two activity rooms and an exhibition gallery.
Essential as a way of accessing culture, it is a place where shows can find exposure as well as a space for working and creating.
Every season, a multidisciplinary programme is elaborated, with a special emphasis on the younger audience : dance and puppets, world music, theatre and juggling can usually be enjoyed.
Events and shows take place in the theatre but also off-site, on the streets, in schools or in other locations.
Seasonal artists get involved, running cultural events as well as their shows, with locals : dance projects, puppet or drama workshops, juggling - to name a few of the many opportunities to encounter, to share, to exchange and to transmit.
The cultural centre welcomes various troupes in-residence, as an essential tool to support artists and artistic groups, enabling to build a cultural project adapted to what is locally at play, and in an effort to meet with the audiences.
Transmission, creation, off-site exposure : there is a lot of juggling about in La Courneuve !
